In order to fulfil the responsibility of empowering and improving Indonesian's welfare, JOIWAY continue to hold a GAPVAPE&JOIWAY 64th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In addition to contributing to community development, this CSR activity is also a way for JOIWAY to improve the quality of JOIWAY employees by fostering empathy and responsibilities for social issues that occur in Indonesia. This time we held a charity event at the Al-Marhamah Orphanage in Medan, Sumatra Island. The Al-Marhamah Orphanage was established in 2018, and so far, it has taken care of 31 children in need.
According to Mrs. Irma, as the administrator of the Al-Marhamah Orphanage, so far, the operational costs of the Al-Marhamah Orphanage have been borne through the help of local residents. Previously, the Al-Marhamah Orphanage had opened a small food stalls business to help with operational costs. However, the effort did not last long since the manager had difficulties to manage their time to take care of the stalls, as well as the orphanage.
Three weeks ago, the Al-Marhamah Orphanage had just welcomed a baby who had been abandoned by their family. This unfortunate event urges the Al-Marhamah Orphanage to initiate taking care of the baby needs. Through this event, which also coincides with the "Islamic New Year" Day, JOIWAY strives to provide assistance in the form of comestibles such as rice, cooking oil, snacks, and other children's daily needs. JOIWAY regards all life as equal, and expects all life to be treated with dignity.
JOIWAY KEEP ON THE WAY.
